My drone came!
I've wanted to get into FPV drones for awhile now, and I finally pulled the trigger on some stuff.
It was honestly really difficult to figure out what infrastructure to go with: whether analog or digital, and then what actual company and hardware you go with.
I ended up going with DJI, for a few reasons:
- An o4 air unit seems like the most effective way of getting a good HD signal on a tiny drone, which is what I want to fly.
- The budget headset for DJI allows digital signal mirroring to a phone, which is huge for me, that way I can use drones with clients.
The Drone Choice
For the drone, ended up pulling the trigger on a Meteor75 pro.
Unfortunately, I ordered the wrong one - ELRS, thinking that I'd be able to use it with my existing Radiomaster radio. Turns out that one isn't compatible with the o4 air, so back to aliexpress it goes. Note to self (and readers) - good experience returning something this expensive to aliexpress.
For now, I wait!
